Initiatives
The LPO Alsace is actively involved in the conservation of the red kite by implementing the actions of the national action plan.
Census and monitoring :
- census and monitoring of the breeding population
- census of the wintering kites
Conservation :
- protection of nesting areas in cooperation with the ONF (fational French forest agency)
- integration of the red kite in the regional wind plan
- Proposition of protective measures and discussions with agricultural organizations
Awareness :
- informative public sessions
- awareness of concerned partners (NFB ONCFS, SITA ...)
